Ever since the begining of Celsius Bankruptcy filing, there is an increasing number of blockchain-related phishing attempt emails and phone calls. We think that it is necessary to inform anybody who has money trapped on Celsius (or other companies like Blockfi going through the same kind of bankruptcy filing), about the scam and phishing activities, so that users can remain alert. For those who are unsure, phishing is a technique cybercriminals use to try to gain access to your personal information.
Please only use Trust Verified Celsius Channels
Celsius, the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors, Fahrenheit, LLC, or their respective advisors will never contact you directly by phone, text message, or social media to request account or personal information absent an order or on-the-record instruction by the Court.
If you receive an email purporting to be from Celsius or our claims agent, Stretto, verify the sender’s email address. Carefully ensure the email is from a verified sender before you reply and hover over links to see the URL before you click on them. As previously announced on Twitter, if you receive an email from [email protected], it is a legitimate email from Stretto and not a phishing attempt.
Always Protect your Personal Information & Passwords
Use the Celsius app to confirm or submit your personal information and create unique and strong passwords. Remember that Celsius will never call, email, or text you to ask you to share your Celsius password or authentication code.
This practice should apply to any web based activities that you engage in, and does not only apply to Celsius.
Enable Two-Factor Authentication whenever it is available
For additional security, use an authenticator app or tool to enable two-factor authentication of your Celsius account.
Again, it is a reminder that for any web base application that you are using, enable the Two-Factor Authentication, because it gives you a separate, additional security feature to prevent hackers from accessing your account when a source of authentication is breached.
Stay Informed, Keep yourself Updated
Regularly educate yourself and stay vigilant to avoid potential threats.
For information on Celsius and updates on their Chapter 11 cases, visit their official website (www.celsius.network), their case website (cases.stretto.com), or follow them on X (formerly Twitter) @CelsiusNetwork.

Please Report Suspected Phishing
If you receive a phishing email claiming to be from Celsius, report it to your email provider and relevant authorities. This helps prevent others in the community from falling victim to phishing attempts. If you think you have received suspicious messages from parties claiming to be Celsius, report it to [email protected]
Remember that cybercriminals are constantly evolving their tactics. To protect yourself from phishing attacks, stay vigilant.
Apply the Above Techniques to All Web Based Activities
Lastly, whenever you are using a web based application, or phone based apps, always be alert and practice the above measures to ensure safety of your information online.
